How to Insert Images Using WordPress

This tutorial assumes you already have a WordPress blog set up and ready to go, and that you know how to login to the WordPress “Dashboard” or admin panel.

Login to the blog. (Usually, on the home page, under the “Meta” heading in the navigation, you will find a “Login” link. Click on the link.)

You should now see the blue banner for the WordPress “Dashboard” (also called the admin panel or blog editing interface). Next, click on Write > Post.

Note that you can open more than one web browser window when you are using the blog “Dashboard”. That way you can view the blog in one window and the Dashboard in another.

To open a new web browser window, click on the File menu at the top of your web browser window (not in the Dashboard interface, but on the web browser window itself, where you see the menu headings File Edit View… etc.), and select New > Window.
